Intercatering prepared the “Greek Breakfast” at the event of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels

The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels presented the Greek Breakfast of Attica Land at the Attica Gaia Festival New Thesmoforia, in a unique event at the beautiful Ble Pavillon, on Thursday, September 21, to journalists and guests from the tourism sector and primary production.

The attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a unique experiential experience, and to discover the value of the Greek-Mediterranean diet and the products of Attica, through the scientific perspective of Georgios Boskos, professor of the Harokopio University and nutritionist.

With our recipes and creations, we contributed to the unfolding of this special culinary journey in the Greek Breakfast of Attica Land with products of high nutritional value.

The Event

At the event, the chefs of our team gave their best as always with live cooking demonstrations using of course the best local products and creating dishes that characterize a rich and nutritious Greek breakfast as well as a brunch.

At the same time at the event, the participants had the opportunity to learn the secrets of traditional Greek coffee on the embers, to enjoy organic infusions from Attica herbs, to taste unique products, such as the Aegina pistachio, honey, olive oil, figs, the traditional lemonade but also to discover new recipes from pure local products.

The “Greek Breakfast”

The “Greek Breakfast” is the inspired program of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels with the aim of connecting the country’s culinary wealth with the visitor’s experience and promoting the culinary heritage of each place through a program designed to distinguish products from each region.

As the President of the Hotel Chamber of Greece, Mr Alexandros Vassilikos, pointed out, the Greek Breakfast is a base on which we will continue to build in order to strengthen our culinary identity which is the guardian of the cultural element and tradition of our country.

While Mrs Angela Gerekou, President of EOT, emphasized that it is important that our quality, local products are placed at every stage of the visitor’s travel experience. We should all contribute so that this wonderful initiative is extended to all accommodation and catering/food business, at every link in the travel industry chain.

The Managing Director of the Development Organization “New Metropolitan Attica S.A.” Mr Iosif Parsalis, characteristically mentioned that the culinary experience of the Greek Breakfast, which focuses on authenticity, contributes financially to the local community and contributes to sustainable development by reducing imports and transport

New Thesmoforia Festival of Gaia Attica 2023 is a great celebration of the promotion of Attica Land, a meeting ground of culture with tourism and the primary sector, organized in Attica, by the Development Organization “New Metropolitan Attica”, on the initiative of the Region of Attica, under the auspices of the Hellenic Tourism Organization. Focusing on community empowerment and sustainable development, the Festival brings together locals and visitors in a harmonious celebration of the past, present and future of the Attica Land and builds a meeting ground of the Attica land and its products, the natural environment, of history and rich cultural heritage.
