Intercatering at the “FIRST Global Challenge 2024”: 3.500 meals daily for participants from 198 countries

Intercatering was there to support the “FIRST Global Challenge 2024” in Athens, offering 3,500 daily meals to students from 198 countries. The event was organized by AFEA CONGRESS and took place at the iconic Peace and Friendship Stadium from September 25 to 29. Our team undertook to meet the nutritional needs of the participants with dishes from cuisines from all over the world.

With a variety of dishes, adapted to every dietary need, we made sure to cover the menu with halal, kosher, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Each meal was crafted to energize and satisfy the contestants, giving them the boost they needed for the day’s demanding challenges.

Serving so many people in a day was no easy task. We had to ensure that all participants had what they needed, without delays. Our team, consisting of more than 120 professionals, gave their best, working with precision and consistency.

We used 30 trucks to transport food and equipment daily, ensuring that every meal was ready at the right time. Coordination and speed were key factors in our success.

Sustainability was at the heart of our strategy during the event. With precise planning and appropriate practices, we managed to reduce food waste to less than 5%, which for such a large event is a significant success.

Our goal is always to offer excellent services and unique dining experiences that leave guests with the best impressions.
